Lawyers disagree with sane people all across the fruited plain when they go into court sniveling about a stolen election. So let's not hold up lawyers as some sort of arbiters of the truth. Lawyers are in it to win because the more they win, the more money they make. Legal confidentiality information does not include providing "chest binders" nor working with teachers to formulate a plan.

If the teachers and students know, the parents are entitled to the same information.
Alethophobia, always fearing the truth, wants us to believe that the administration of the Salt Bay Community School picked some unsuspecting, malleable, emotionally vulnerable little girl out of the student body and with intent, "groomed" her to be trans. "Grooming" of course when used within the parameters of child sexual abuse is not talking a kid into rejecting her gender and picking a different gender...it is subjecting a kid to influence that will allow a pedophile to abuse the kid without ketting caught at it. So the assholes herein don't even know what language to use. It sounds to me like school personnel were attempting to help this girl navigate her way through what can be a minefield of middle school cruelty. Typically most harshly perpetrated by middle school girls. The boys typically don't get really bad until high school.
A minor in Maine has the right to disclose information and withold information as the child wishes...because, it's the child's information, nobody else's.
